Starting on January 1, 2022 garbage put at the curb must be in clear, colourless bags - with the exception of one 'privacy' bag per week that can be in an opaque, non-transparent bag.

On Monday, Nov. 1, residents of St. John’s are invited to display your Jack O’ Lantern (pumpkin) at Bannerman Park and participate in the Pumpkin Walk.
The City’s Animal Care and Adoption Centre received another visit from an anonymous donor. Beginning today (Monday, Oct. 18) the cost of the first 29 approved cat adoptions will be covered.

Today, members of City Council, in partnership with the Bowring Park Foundation, and the Cahill Family Foundation, marked the official opening of the Labyrinth in Bowring Park.
Effective Friday, Oct. 8 at 4:30 p.m., Visitor Information Services at the Welcome Centre, 348 Water Street, will be closed for the season.
