About the artists:

Canadian singer-songwriter Michelle Willis began her career in the Toronto jazz/modern-roots scene, as a writer, session keyboardist and vocalist with the likes of Hugh Marsh, Iggy & The Stooges, and The Vinyl Cafe. Her record See Us Through (GroundUP Music/Universal 2016) received critical acclaim, featuring sweeping vocals and rich songwriting craft. She is now a touring member of David Crosby’s Lighthouse & Sky Trails bands, Becca Stevens Band, and her own solo project.

Charlotte Cornfield is a Toronto-based songwriter who’s been releasing music for over a decade. A clever and innovative lyricist, she exists in the same continuum as progenitors of song like Bob Dylan and Neil Young, as well as more contemporary writers such as Courtney Barnett, Angel Olsen and Will Oldham. Charlotte performed at Lawnya Vawnya 2017 in St. John’s with a very warm reception and has been looking forward to returning to NL with new tunes ever since.

JOHN (Joanna Barker's new project) killed it this year at Lawnya Vawnya and have a wicked new record almost ready to roll out. They offer "..nearly glacial West coast country vibes, turning on a dime into a raw and ragged riff stomp that land(s) with a vicious punch". -EXCLAIM. Not to be missed!

Spring Var

Members include Robert Forward (acoustic and electric guitar) Amelia Harris (vocals, keyboard) Michelle LaCour (electric guitar, accordion, keyboard) Chris Scott (bass) Christina Young (drums, violin, mandolin)
