Féile Séamus Creagh Concert

Saturday, September 9, 2017 - 8:00pm
Gower Street United Church, 99 Queen's Road

Féile Séamus Creagh is an annual five-day festival of traditional music, song, and dance from Newfoundland and Ireland. It is named in memory of the late Séamus Creagh, a Cork fiddler who lived in Newfoundland in the 1980s. Séamus was key in shaping the traditional music scene in St. John’s, as it is seen today.

The five day festival highlights visiting Irish, as well as local Newfoundland performers, and includes a lecture, four concerts (Freshwater-Carbonear, Bay Bulls, St. John's, Ferryland), music workshops, and after-hour traditional sessions.
