Futurpreneur is the only national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. If you are thinking about starting a business (or have recently launched a business) and fall within the Futurpreneur Canada age range and would like to know more about their programs, Scott Andrews will be hosting virtual Office Hours to chat about how Futurpreneur Canada helps young entrepreneurs in Newfoundland and Labrador. Email sandrews@futurpreneur.ca to book a call with him during this time to chat about your idea and how they might be able to assist.

The City of St. John’s celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week November 8 - 14, 2021 by launching a new Office Hours pilot program to provide information to entrepreneurs and small businesses. The St. John’s Business Information Centre currently offers information services to entrepreneurs who are seeking business startup information. This new pilot program featuring community partners will extend this service and enhance the assistance provided to entrepreneurs.

Office hours are times in the month set aside to answer individual questions and discuss business development topics with businesses. Office Hours will help to establish communication channels between government agencies and the entrepreneurial community. Our partners will host virtual (or in-person) office hours so start-ups and entrepreneurs can interact with experts one-on-one.

For the pilot program session, we are pleased to collaborate with Futurpreneur and RDEE NL - Bilingual Economic Development Network to better assist entrepreneurs get the information they need as they prepare to launch, expand their business or hire new employees.
