We are playing songs from our latest MusicNL nominated indie rock album for kids, Pink Rabbit, at the Rocket Room! Get ready to dance to "ABCDEFG" and mosh to "Cookies Are Okay Sometimes" because on Saturday, January 20, 2pm, it's going to be an indie rock show for kids!! We've invited Jake Thompson and Gary Wheeseltin from NL Now on Rogers TV to help us put off a great show!

With four MusicNL nominations, Land of the Lakes is Matthew Thomson and Danielle Hamel. They play indie pop with fuzzed out guitars and dreamy melodies. Eager to introduce their two kids to the ways of indie rock, as a follow-up to their 2015 self-titled album, they released a rock album for kids entitled Pink Rabbit in February 2017. The band consists of Matthew Thomson, Danielle Hamel, Adam Hefferman, Paddy Byrne, Dave Noseworthy, and Hilary Thomson.

NL NOW is a local talk show from right here in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, hosted by Gary Wheeseltin. The show has interviews, musical guests, kids got talent, and places to see with Wheeseltin. Look for them on Rogers TV every Sunday at 6:30pm.

The puppeteer and creator behind NL NOW is Jake Thompson. Jake has been a Muppet fan since the age of 2. Jake started NL NOW at the age of eleven as a YouTube channel in March of 2016 and in just under a year has turned it into a TV show on Rogers TV.
