National Health & Fitness Day 2019
On Saturday, June 1, the City of St. John's and community partners NL Kinesiology Association and the Memorial University School of Human Kinetics and Recreation are recognizing and celebrating National Health & Fitness Day. Free events are being offered to encourage everyone from children to seniors to get out and get active - join us at some of these FREE events:
All Day
Free admission to the walking/running track in the Field House at Memorial University. All ages welcome, indoor shoes required.
9 a.m.
Talk and Run
For ages 16+
Running Room, 9 Rowan Street
“How to Begin a Running Program” 30 minute talk, followed by a mini run (less than 30 mins)
Cycle Fit Class
For ages 18+; government issued identification required.
Ches Penney Family YMCA, 35 Ridge Road
Cycle Fit Class begins at 9:15 a.m.

PLAY Program at MUN (Physical Literacy for All Youth)

Come and enjoy the playground, ball court and skate park at the City’s newest Community Centre. Join cartoon character mascots for this family-friendly play date. Staff will be on-site with equipment and ideas for active play.

Everyone Welcome Swim
H.G.R. Mews Community Centre, 40 Mundy Pond Road
All ages welcome. Swim ends at 3:50 p.m.
Community Class
For Ages 14+ (14-15 must be accompanied by legal guardian; 16-17 need signature of legal guardian)
Orangetheory Fitness, 70 White Rose Drive
