Join us in Celebrating World Fisheries Day 2019!

The event 'Towards Zero Waste in Our Fisheries' will take place on Tuesday, November 26, at the Bruneau Centre, Memorial University, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. The event organizers are Too Big To Ignore, the Ocean Frontier Institute and the On The Move Partnership.

The event will focus on reducing waste – of fish through full utilization and of human/social capacity and creativity by reducing gender inequality. Throughout the event, we will feature local initiatives and organizations that work towards creating progressive and sustainable practices for our ocean and fisheries.

Come and visit the information booths to learn more about our fisheries and oceans! The audience will also have a chance to participate in a panel discussion and taste fish dishes as part of the '100% Fish Recipe Contest'.
