World Fisheries Day Celebration

Tuesday, November 21, 2017 - 5:00pm to 9:00pm
Bruneau Centre, Memorial University
Did you know that Nov 21 is World Fisheries Day?

It's a day to celebrate our oceans and the people whose livelihoods depend on it.

By organizing and participating in the events linked to the World Fisheries Day, we can show our support to fishers as well as promote sustainable fisheries and viable communities.

Too Big To Ignore - Global Partnership for Small-Scale Fisheries Research (TBTI) is hosting the event 'Innovation for Sustainable Fisheries & Sustainable Communities’ on November 21, 2017 to celebrate the small-scale fisheries of today, and discuss the innovative and sustainable fisheries of the future!

Join us at the Bruneau Centre, Memorial University in St. John's from 5 to 9 PM for a panel discussion, information booths, photo and video displays, and a tasty fish taco contest!

Let's make #WorldFisheriesDay a true celebration of inshore fisheries!

The event is open to the public, with free admission, and complimentary parking in area 18.
