The City of St. John's posts public advisories whenever we have an interruption in service to ensure the public is kept informed. Some of the categories of advisories include water, garbage, recreation, traffic and building closures. The view below lists advisories that are upcoming or currently on-going.

Motorists are advised that the Nautilus Mundy Pond 5k Road Race will take place this Sunday starting at 8:00am and finishing by 9:00am. The route is as follows:

Twelve parking meters from 75 to 95 Water Street will be bagged to accommodate production vehicles for film shooting at Harbourside Park.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised of the following lane closure:
Six parking meters in Churchill Square (in front of Vogue Optical & Executive Travel Inc) will be bagged to accommodate ongoing construction work until May 15, 2017.
Residents of St. John's are advised that there will be a detour in place on Signal Hill Road to facilitate a watermain replacement. Flagpersons will be in place so that residential traffic, tour buses and delivery trucks will have controlled access through the work site.
The Winter Activity Centre, including ski and snowshoe rentals in the North Bank Lodge, at C.A. Pippy Park is closing for the season at 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 6 due the rain forecasted for the weekend.
On Thursday, April 6 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Loop at Bannerman Park is closing for the season at 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 6.
The recent warm and wet conditions, with more of the same in the forecast for the coming days, are making it difficult to maintain a safe ice surface.
Garbage Collection 1A/1B and Recycling Area1B have been completed for today, Monday, April 3, 2017.
The backyard compost information session scheduled for Monday, April 3 at City Hall is cancelled, due to weather.
Garbage(Area 1A & 1B) and recycling(Area1B) will proceed at 12:30PM today. Please ensure your garbage and recycling is placed at the curb for pick up.
All City Building and Recreational facilities will reopen today at 1PM.
Due to the inclement weather, garbage (1A/1B) and recycling (1B) collection will have a delayed start. An update will be provided before 10:00 am.

Residents of St. John's are advised that there is a watermain break on Dillon Crescent. Crews are currently working on repairs and anticipate the work to be completed by 4 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Affected residents are those from Chafe Avenue to #57 Dillon Crescent.

A Website Service Interruption has been scheduled for March 18, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This interruption will affect the Website, Tenders (bids.stjohns.ca), Mapcentre and Automatic Vehicle Lookup (AVL). This interruption will be intermittent.
