Some of the categories of advisories include water, garbage, recreation, traffic and building closures. The view below lists advisories that are upcoming or currently on-going.

Residents of St. John's are advised there is a water main break on Empire Avenue @ Cashin Avenue. Crews are currently working on repairs and anticipate the work to be completed by 6:00pm Thursday March 23, 2017.
Please be advised that the ski and snowshoe rental program at the Winter Activity Centre located at North Bank Lodge, in C.A. Pippy Park is OPEN.
A Website Service Interruption has been scheduled for March 18, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This interruption will affect the Website, Tenders (bids.stjohns.ca), Mapcentre and Automatic Vehicle Lookup (AVL). This interruption will be intermittent.

As of 7 a.m. Sunday, March 12, approximately 50 intersections throughout the City are without traffic signals, either due to damage or power loss.
Please travel throughout the City with extreme caution; treat all intersections with flashing or dark traffic signals as four way stops.

Due to damage and safety concerns, several roads throughout the City were closed yesterday, March 11. As of 8 a.m. March 12, Duckworth Street, Pennywell Road, Merrymeeting Road, Cathedral Street, and New Gower Street have been opened. The following road closures are now in effect:

Due to weather all city recreation facilities, including the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation are closed for the remainder of the day.
Due to the expected high winds, the Residential Drop Off at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closing at noon.

Residents of St. John's are advised that Coronation Street and Charlton Street will be closed to facilitate repairs to a waterline. The road(s) will be closed until 4:00pm today. Local traffic only.

Residents of St. John's are advised that there will be a traffic disruption on East White Hills Road in the vicinity of Country Ribbon to facilitate the movement of production equipment. This will be in effect from February 23, 2017 from 6:00 p.m.

Residents of St. John's are advised that there will be a traffic delay and lane reduction at the corner of Water Street and Prescott Street due to overhead work on the TD Building. Expect delays.
The City of St. John’s is extending its hours at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility landfill for commercial users on Saturday, February 18, 2017. The landfill typically operates on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, but will remain open until 4 p.m.
Garbage (3A/3B) and recycling (3A) collection will proceed today.
Residents are advised that the GoBus Accessible Transit is resuming service as of 5:00 pm today, Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
