Snow removal downtown is progressing quickly now, and we expect to distribute a couple of these advisories/announcements today Friday, Jan. 24.

Snow removal is taking place during morning Friday, Jan. 24 in downtown St. John’s on:

  • Signal Hill Road
  • Walsh’s Square
  • Plymouth Road
  • Factory Lane
  • Quidi Vidi Road
  • Forest Road
  • Ordnance Street
  • Cavendish Square
  • Craigmiller Avenue
  • Rickett’s Road
  • Mayor Avenue
  • Stamp’s Lane
  • Parade Street
  • Circular Road

To effectively remove snow from these roads, parked cars must be moved. Owners of vehicles parked on these streets are urged to clean and remove their vehicles as soon as possible. These vehicles can temporarily park on the streets that have been cleared, or overnight in select parking garages.
Additional downtown residential streets will be added as snow removal operations progress. This will be communicated through a public advisory on the City website, and the City’s social media feeds.

The City appreciates the support and cooperation of vehicle owners in the downtown during this emergency.
