Some of the categories of advisories include water, garbage, recreation, traffic and building closures. The view below lists advisories that are upcoming or currently on-going.

Motorists are advised that the Nautilus Mundy Pond 5k Road Race will take place this Sunday starting at 8:00am and finishing by 9:00am. The route is as follows:

Twelve parking meters from 75 to 95 Water Street will be bagged to accommodate production vehicles for film shooting at Harbourside Park.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised of the following lane closure:
Six parking meters in Churchill Square (in front of Vogue Optical & Executive Travel Inc) will be bagged to accommodate ongoing construction work until May 15, 2017.
Residents of St. John's are advised that there will be a detour in place on Signal Hill Road to facilitate a watermain replacement. Flagpersons will be in place so that residential traffic, tour buses and delivery trucks will have controlled access through the work site.

As of 7 a.m. Sunday, March 12, approximately 50 intersections throughout the City are without traffic signals, either due to damage or power loss.
Please travel throughout the City with extreme caution; treat all intersections with flashing or dark traffic signals as four way stops.
Due to damage and safety concerns, several roads throughout the City were closed yesterday, March 11. As of 8 a.m. March 12, Duckworth Street, Pennywell Road, Merrymeeting Road, Cathedral Street, and New Gower Street have been opened. The following road closures are now in effect:
Due to high winds affecting the City of St. John’s there are several road closures in effect at this time:
Residents of St. John's are advised that Coronation Street and Charlton Street will be closed to facilitate repairs to a waterline. The road(s) will be closed until 4:00pm today. Local traffic only.
Residents of St. John's are advised that there will be a traffic disruption on East White Hills Road in the vicinity of Country Ribbon to facilitate the movement of production equipment. This will be in effect from February 23, 2017 from 6:00 p.m.
Residents of St. John's are advised that there will be a traffic delay and lane reduction at the corner of Water Street and Prescott Street due to overhead work on the TD Building. Expect delays.
REVISED - LANE IS OPEN TO MOTORISTS
Residents of St. John's are advised that the following roads will be closed to facilitate repairs to the water main at Bennett Avenue @ Beaumont Street - Bennett Avenue @ Carson Avenue, Beaumont Street @ Campbell Avenue, St.
Residents of St. John's are advised that Cashin Avenue will be closed to traffic from Vimy Avenue to Blackmarsh Road to facilitate the repair of a watermain. The road will be closed until 4:00pm, today, February 3, 2017. Further updates will follow.
Please be advised that road repairs are being conducted on Kenmount Road in the area of CIty Honda and Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle.
The East bound lane in this area will be closed to conduct the repairs, today, Thursday, February 2, 2017, from 2p.m. to 7p.m
Please be advised that Parks Services will be in the area of The Boulevard on Thursday, February 2 and Friday February 3, 2017 to facilitate Road Side Pruning Operations.
The Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in the area of #70. There will be signage and flag persons in place.
Motorists are advised that Englobe Corp.’s are conducting a geotechnical investigation for a bridge replacement on behalf of our client CBCL Ltd. and the City of St. John’s. Delays may occur and flagpersons will be on site
Residents of St. John's are advised that there will be a traffic delay and lane reduction at the corner of Water Street, Job's cove and may also be interuppted on Harbour Drive caused by the construction of ALT Hotel.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised that Water Street between Prescott Street and Clift's-Baird's Cove will be closed for a period of time for electrical repairs.
