The City of St. John’s is conducting roadside pruning operations from December 2016 to April 2017 to remove low hanging branches that interfere with pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as well as any dead or decayed branches that can negatively affect tree health.

The Winter Activty Centre in Pippy Park is open. Trails are free to use and are lit for evening use. Equipment for all ages is available to rent in the North Bank Lodge.

A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted requesting permission to occupy 225 Conception Bay South Bypass as an area for Heavy Equipment Storage for the parking and storage of trailers.

A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted requesting permission to occupy the rear of 91 Shoal Bay Road as an area for Heavy Equipment Storage. The business will provide storage for such equipment as dump trucks, backhoe, loaders and other various paving equipment.

Registration for Easter daycamp, for grades kindergarten to six, begins at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 9 for residents of St. John’s and at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 16 for residents of other municipalities.

The rezoning application at 16 Francis Street (and Castle Bridge Drive) has been withdrawn by the applicant. The application was to rezone to the Apartment Medium Density (A2) Zone for a condominium apartment building.

An Extension of a Non-conforming Use application has been submitted to build an extension on a Single Family Dwelling located at 287 Southern Shore Highway. The current dwelling has a total floor area of 124.4 m2 with a proposed renovation and extension of 17.9 m2

A Change of Non-Conforming Use application has been submitted requesting permission to occupy 180 Hamilton Avenue for the packaging of savory. The proposed use would occupy an area of 182 m2 and will replace the previous use (Professional Apparel).
