A Public Hearing will take place regarding an application submitted to the City to rezone 73-75 Airport Heights Drive for an Eating Establishment and Lounge.
 
Description
The St. John's Municipal Council adopted St. John’s Municipal Plan Amendment Number 153, 2019, and St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 700, 2019, on December 2, 2019, and hereby gives notice of its intent to seek registration of the amendments from the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, in accordance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act. The applicant has proposed modifications which will be presented at the Public Hearing. 
 
The effect of the Municipal Plan amendment would be to re-designate 73-75 Airport Heights Drive from the Residential Low Density (RLD) Land Use District to the Commercial General (CG) Land Use District. 
 
The effect of the Development Regulations amendment would be to rezone 73-75 Airport Heights Drive from the Commercial Local (CL) Zone to the Commercial Neighbourhood (CN) Zone. 
 
In conjunction with the above amendments, the City is also advertising the Discretionary Use of an Eating Establishment and Lounge at 73-75 Airport Heights Drive with a total floor area of 83.3 m2. Hours of operation will be 11-12 a.m. on weekdays and 11-1 a.m. on weekends. On-site parking is available.

If no written objections are received, the Public Hearing may be cancelled in accordance with the provisions of the Urban and Rural Planning Act.
