People looking through the telescope on Signal Hill

Come discover one of the oldest cities in North America. A city unlike any other. Cradled in a harbour carved from 500 million year old rock. Surrounded by hills running down to the ocean. Charming side streets of a thousand colours. Friendly faces to greet you at every turn. Take a truly unforgettable journey to St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. All the information you need to plan your visit is right here.

The City has been made aware of an irregularity in the voters list for the Ward 4 byelection that has resulted in ballots being mailed to a number of households outside the voting area.
The City is using a vote by mail system for the upcoming byelection. Although ballots were scheduled to be mailed starting Feb. 5, delivery began a few days early.
Following Budget 2016-18, the City is introducing a new comprehensive departmental review process that will analyze every service and program to determine which should remain.
