The City of St. John's annual Tourism Awards recognize individuals, groups and businesses for their outstanding contributions to the tourism industry in providing a unique and quality experience.

The built heritage in St. John’s is a significant part of our culture. Each year on Heritage Day the City recognizes outstanding efforts in heritage restoration with the annual heritage awards.

The second phase of the Water Street project has progressed well this spring and is on schedule to be completed on time.
Poet Laureate Mary Dalton has partnered with 93.5 CHMR-FM to create and produce a poetry podcast called Flahoolic. Several episodes are currently available, with more scheduled for release.
