Today, Committee of the Whole voted to enhance snow clearing resources at 122 pedestrian street crossings. The recommendation will be referred to a future City Council meeting for a final vote.
The cost for more snow clearing resources is $270,015 for eight employees, one supervisor, two leased loaders and two light duty trucks.

Motorists are advised that a detour will be in place on Empire Avenue from Newtown Road to Little Street Thursday, Oct. 6 to Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 to facilitate road construction. Flag persons will be on site during construction.

The Tely 10 Road Race takes place Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route. Residents may be temporarily detained while race participants are passing. A detour will be in place and flag persons and race marshalls will be present during the race.
