The nomination period for candidates has now closed and the deadline to withdraw has passed. Ward 1 Councillor Jill Bruce and Ward 3 Councillor Greg Noseworthy have won their respective seats by acclamation.

The City of St. John's will once again use a vote-by-mail system for the 2025 municipal election. If you are a resident of St. Johnβs, itβs important to check the voters list to ensure your vote-by-mail kit is sent to the correct address. You can confirm your information or register through our Voter Registration Portal. To register, identification will be required.
An instructional guide is available to help you navigate the portal.
Voting kits will be mailed out the week of September 15 via Canada Post. If you plan to return your kit by mail, it must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, September 24.

Voters can also return their completed kits to the following secure drop-box locations throughout the city:
Please note that the locations listed reflect regular operating hours. Some centres may also open during evenings and weekends for private rentals.
Eligible voters can drop-off or cast their ballots at a voting centre on election day (October 2) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you plan to register at an election centre, you must go to the centre in your own ward and bring acceptable identification.
