Fire Ban Currently in Effect

A fire ban remains in effect for the St. John’s Regional Fire Department Region including St. John’s, Mount Pearl, and Paradise until Monday, June 9, 2025.

🚫 Not allowed:
• Outdoor wood-burning appliances
• Charcoal BBQs
• Open fires

✅ Still permitted:
• Propane firepits
• Propane BBQs

The SJRFD reminds you to be fire safe when using propane firepits and barbeques, to keep a hose or fire extinguisher handy and follow manufacturer’s requirements regarding clearances from combustible materials.

The SJRFD will monitor this situation closely over the next few days and encourages residents to check social media for updates on Facebook.
