To facilitate the construction of new accessible washrooms at Kelly’s Brook Park, the Shared-Use Path in Kelly’s Brook Park near Hoyles Avenue (including the trail connection to Hoyles Avenue) will be closed on Wednesday, May 27 for approximately 1 week.
The City will make every effort to minimize interruptions. The public is asked to follow all posted signage in and near the construction zone.

Due to required maintenance, there will be no lane swims or aquatic fitness classes on Monday, May 25 and Tuesday, May 26 at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre. The cancellation is required to facilitate minor repairs to the pump in the main pool. During this time, the leisure pool will remain open and leisure swims will continue as scheduled, unaffected by the closure.
Those with pool rentals who may be affected by the closure will be contacted directly.

The city received an application for construction of an Accessory building with a proposed height of 5.4 metres. For a Residential Use, Accessory Building height shall not exceed 5 metres. The applicant is requesting a Variance on the minimum Accessory Building height to be considered under Section 7.4 of the City of St. John’s Development Regulations which allows up to a 10% Variance from any applicable requirement to be considered.

The City has received an application from Breen’s Enterprises Ltd to rezone property at 69 Military Road from the Residential Downtown (RD) zone to the Residential Mixed (RM) zone. The amendment will also add “Bakery” as a Permitted Use and “Restaurant” as a Discretionary Use to the RM Zone.
