The City of St. John’s is launching a new initiative to help beautify vacant storefronts on Water St. and Duckworth St. in the downtown core — and we’re inviting property owners to get involved.

Contractors may be working on the following streets from June 30 to July 5 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:
Barnes Road (Mullock Street to Howley Avenue)
Beaumont Street
Canada Drive (Hamlyn Road to Cowan Avenue)
