The 2025 Canada Games Torch Relay will begin at the Orange Store at 694 Water Street and end with a community celebration in Bannerman Park. To facilitate this event, the following roads will be subject to rolling closures during the above-noted times:

To facilitate the George Street Festival, the eastbound lane of Duckworth Street (New Gower Street to Bates Hill), will be closed from 3 p.m. on July 31 to 3 a.m. on August 7.
A pedestrian detour will be in place. Access to businesses within this area will be maintained.

Southside Trail, from 632 Southside Road to Blackhead Road, will be closed to the public from Wednesday, July 30 to Friday, August 1, and again on Monday, August 4, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. The closure is necessary to allow Newfoundland Power to perform planned maintenance on a transmission line that runs alongside the trail.
Please obey all posted signage.

The Azamara Quest with 694 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, and depart at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 31.

The Royal St. John’s Regatta is set to occur on Wednesday, July 30. If the weather is not suitable on July 30 and the Regatta Committee postpones the event, the following list pertains to whichever day the Royal St. John’s Regatta occurs.
All City offices and facilities are closed on Regatta Day.
