Site preparation is still ongoing for the future roundabout at Portugal Cove Road, Major’s Path, and Airport Heights Drive.

To accommodate a film production at City Hall, access to the City Hall parking garage will be restricted from Saturday, April 18 at 5 p.m. to Monday, April 20 at 10:30 p.m. The ramp into the garage near Sebastian Court will be closed, including levels 3, 4, and 5. Access to level 1 will remain open for public parking.

Construction is ongoing on a new 2.6 km shared-use path connecting Airport Heights to the Paul Reynolds Community Centre, with completion anticipated by fall 2026.
Beginning April 16, 2026, the Virginia River Trail from Major’s Path to the Trans-Canada Highway will be closed to pedestrians. Work is also underway in the Penney Crescent area, including Spruce Meadows Park, and will be starting on the remainder of the planned trail network in the coming weeks.
