Take notice that St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 53, 2025, adopted on June 17, 2025, has been registered by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Community Engagement.
In general terms, the purpose of St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 53, 2025, is to amend Appendix C, Map 4 “Waterways and Wetlands” to reflect mapped changes to the Southlands SL1 wetland.

The parade will begin on New Gower Street in front of City Hall, and travel East on Duckworth Street, before turning up Ordinance Street, onto Military Road, and ending in Bannerman Park.

The City is considering an amendment to Appendix C, Map 5 "Waterways and Flood Hazards" of the Envision St. John's Development Regulations. The proposed amendment is to update the map to include the new and revised floodplains and floodplain buffers identified in the 2023 Flood Risk Mapping Study.
No changes are proposed to the text of the Development Regulations and a Municipal Plan amendment is not needed.

Motorists are advised that Linegar Avenue (between Horlick Avenue and the Harry Yetman Shea Heights Park) will be closed to facilitate the Shea Heights Folk Festival. Traffic will be diverted to Horlick Avenue. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will have access.

The City has received an application to amend the Envision St. John's Development Regulations to add "Dwelling Unit - 1st storey" as a Discretionary Use to the Commercial Office Hotel (COH) Zone. The proposed amendment is prompted by an application from Gagnon Walker Domes Ltd. to convert the existing building at 222 LeMarchant Road into a fully residential rental building.
