The City of St. John’s is pleased to announce a significant reduction in fees for its seasonal Parklet Program, aimed at better supporting local restaurants and small businesses.

DescriptionThe proposed application is for a Heritage Use, which is for 34 Micro Dwelling Units. The designated Heritage Building is recognized by the city. Dwelling units will occupy floors 1-5 of the existing building. Parking relief has been requested.

The large breed dog park at Quidi Vidi will be closed for maintenance on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The small breed dog park will remain open.

Work will continue in 2025 as part of the multi-year Major’s Path and Portugal Cove Road Improvements project.
To support this work, traffic on Airport Heights Drive will be disrupted at the Portugal Cove Road intersection to allow for the replacement of a large culvert on the Virginia River, located near Rhodora Street. Expect lane reductions, traffic slowdowns and detours until fall 2025.
