Storm Cleanup Update - February 22, 2025

The snow mostly stopped by 2 a.m., with flurries and blowing snow continued through the night. Reported accumulation is 25-33 cm, with amounts varying by elevation and areas affected by drifting.

By 6 a.m. on Sunday, February 23, streets will be cleared within the City. Most sidewalks will require large snow blowers and/or complete snow removals, which means it will take longer than five days to address all areas. Facility Closures: February 21, 2025

Please be advised that City facilities, including City Hall and recreation facilities, will be closed at 2 p.m. for the remainder of the day on Friday, February 21 due to weather. The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will remain open during regular business hours.

Weather-Related Parking Ban in Effect: Friday, February 21

The Weather-Related Parking Ban outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District will be enforced starting 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21, 2025.  

On-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the ban is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed. 

An update will be issued to confirm when the parking ban will be lifted.

Strategic Plan Progress and Initiatives for 2025

Our City, Our Future, the City’s 10-year strategic plan, enters its seventh year in 2025.

This plan includes four strategic directions and 12 goals which are reviewed with each term of Council. Public Meeting - 7 Waterford Bridge Road

A Public Meeting will take place regarding a rezoning application for land at 7 Waterford Bridge Road.

The City has received an application from Harbour Capital Corp. to rezone land at 7 Waterford Bridge Road from the Residential 1 (R1) Zone to the Apartment 2 (A2) Zone to accommodate a six (6) unit Apartment Building. A Municipal Plan amendment is not required.
