Motorists are advised there will be temporary lane reductions in place at the University Avenue and Prince Phillip Drive intersection to facilitate preliminary construction works (ie. exploratory digs) associated with the University Avenue Storm Sewer Upgrades project.
Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site. Traffic slowdowns and delays will be experienced, and motorists are advised to seek an alternate route if possible.

The Royal St. John’s Regatta is set to occur on Wednesday, August 7. If the weather is not suitable on August 7 and the Regatta Committee postpones the event, the following list pertains to whichever day the Royal St. John’s Regatta occurs.
All City offices and facilities are closed on Regatta Day.

To facilitate the Regatta events there will be various road closures and No Parking/Tow Away areas implemented. These road restrictions are necessary to ensure the safety of pedestrians around the Regatta Site.
Access will only be permitted for emergency and service vehicles on roads that are closed for Regatta Eve and Regatta Day.
Residents who live on these roads that must use their vehicles on Regatta Day are encouraged to park their vehicles outside the Regatta site. Proof of residency will...

Contractors may be working on the following streets from August 5 to 10 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

The 2025 Canada Games Host Society is closing out the opening night of the One Year Out Celebrations with a bang. On Monday, August 5, at 10 p.m., a fireworks display will take place at Quidi Vidi Lake following the Community Baseball Game at St. Pat’s Ballpark.
