Please be advised that City Hall and recreation facilities will open at 9 a.m. on February 3, 2026. Due to a power outage, the John J. Murphy building (City Hall Annex) is closed. An update will be provided once power is restored.
Waste and recycling collection will proceed as planned today, however as announced yesterday, the schedule has been revised:

Please be advised that Hebron Way, from Sea Rose Ave to Major’s Path, is closed due to heavy drifting and poor visibility. This closure will remain in place until the weather subsides and crews can clear the area.
Access will be maintained for businesses in the area via Torbay Road. The City of St. John’s apologizes for any inconvenience.

The City of St. John’s advises that lane and leisure swims scheduled for 7 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre and H.G.R. Mews Community Centre are cancelled due to expected weather conditions.
An update will be provided at 7 a.m. on February 3, once weather and road conditions have been reviewed, regarding any additional delays or service interruptions affecting community centres and City Hall.

Residents are advised of a revised waste and recycling collection schedule due to weather-related service cancellations on Monday.
Waste collection originally scheduled for Monday, February 2 will now be completed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Collection scheduled for Tuesday, February 3 will now take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, along with regularly scheduled Wednesday collection.
