Please be advised of the following winter parking bans and applicable dates.
Snow RoutesFrom December 1 to March 31, parking is prohibited 24-hours a day on streets designated as ‘No Parking Snow Route.’ These streets are marked with signs. These bans are in place so ice control and snow clearing equipment can safely service the streets.

The City of St. John’s is advising the public that the bathrooms located at Bannerman Park are closed until further notice. The closure is necessary due to increased incidences of vandalism and misuse which has resulted in damage to the plumbing and hardware.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, garbage and recycling collection will be postponed on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023.
Impacted areas:
Garbage collection for Area 2A and 2B, including recycling for 2A will now take place on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023.
Garbage collection for Area 3A and 3B, including recycling for 3A, will also take place as scheduled on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023.
Residents in Area 2 and Area 3 may experience delays due to the double collection day.

Contractors may be working on the following streets from November 27 to December 2 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:
