Temporary Lane Reductions - Stavanger Drive and Aberdeen Avenue

To accommodate the Boston Pizza Flat Out 5K Road Race, temporary lane closures and traffic adjustments will be in place on Aberdeen Avenue and Stavanger Drive as follows: 

Aberdeen Avenue: The north (right) lane will be closed from the former Princess Auto to Stavanger Drive from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Traffic cones will mark the closed lane.

Yard Waste Collection and Compost Giveaway Begins

Starting Monday, April 28 and running through to the end of November, yard waste will be collected at the curb on the same day as your recycling.

The yard waste collection program is suitable for:

• leaves
• grass clippings
• plants, shrubs and weeds
• twigs and small branches with a maximum diameter of 2.5 centimeters
• soil and dirt, maximum 5 kg of total

Downtown Street Cleaning Begins April 27

Overnight street cleaning in the downtown area will begin Sunday, April 27 and run until Friday, September 26. Cleaning will take place on scheduled streets between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Vehicles must be removed from streets scheduled for cleaning.
