We’re making steady progress clearing streets citywide, but significant widening and snow removal is still needed in many neighbourhoods. Work is being continuously monitored and prioritized based on safety and need — there’s no need to call to request widening. We know that while our higher priority streets are in good condition, there is a lot of work to be done in various neighbourhoods.
Tonight, snow removal and/or widening is scheduled on 24 downtown streets from 11 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m....

The City of St. John's continues to address road conditions following significant snowfall over the past five days and ongoing poor weather.
City crews need the time and space to carry out cleanup efforts safely and efficiently. Please be advised that Cochrane Pond Road, west of the Back Line, is closed due to heavy drifting and poor visibility.
This closure will remain in place until the weather subsides and crews can clear the area.

Effective Sunday, February 22 at 7:30 a.m., all on-street parking is banned on any streets outside the downtown area until further notice. Vehicles parked on the street may be ticketed or towed.
Due to the significant snowfall earlier this week, snow clearing operations remain ongoing throughout the city.
