The City of St. John’s has received considerable feedback regarding the landmark sign that Council approved for placement in Bannerman Park at the June 17 Council Meeting. Please be advised that the Paul Reynolds Community Centre will remain closed on Tuesday, June 24 as the city continues to facilitate repairs on the entranceway of the facility. An update on the reopening of the facility will be provided by 5 p.m. on June 24.

Please be advised that the Paul Reynolds Community Centre will remain closed over the weekend, with an update on Monday, June 23.
On Friday evening, there was a partial collapse of the ceiling outside of the main entrance of the Paul Reynolds Community Centre. The facility was closed to facilitate repairs and secure the area.
The City takes safety concerns very seriously and will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.

Effective immediately, the Paul Reynolds Community Centre is closed due to unplanned maintenance.
An update on the reopening of the facility will be provided at noon on June 21, 2025.

New Metrobus stops have been added along Harbour Drive in areas that were previously designated as paid parking.
These changes support public transit accessibility ahead of the Downtown Pedestrian Mall. However, they will remain in effect until signage is removed.
