The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure wishes to advise that Route 3 between Ruby Line and Doyle’s Road will be closed on Saturday, June 28, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to facilitate the reinstallation of Cochrane Pond Bridge following the completion of the repairs.
A detour around the closed portion will use Ruby Line, Back Line and Doyle’s Road. Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and pay attention to traffic control.

Blackhead Crescent between civic numbers 44 - 65 will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to facilitate culvert repairs. Use an alternate route and expect delays.

Please be advised that the Paul Reynolds Community Centre will reopen on Wednesday, June 25. The main entrance has been secured and addressed, however work will continue tomorrow which may require traffic to be redirected in the parking area. Please follow all posted signage.

The City of St. John’s has received considerable feedback regarding the landmark sign that Council approved for placement in Bannerman Park at the June 17 Council Meeting. Based on this feedback, Council has decided to pause plans for the sign in 2025 so that input can be reviewed and further community consultation can take place on the proposed location.
