Residents are advised of a revised waste and recycling collection schedule due to weather-related service cancellations on Monday.
Waste collection originally scheduled for Monday, February 2 will now be completed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Collection scheduled for Tuesday, February 3 will now take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, along with regularly scheduled Wednesday collection.

City crews are preparing for a winter storm expected to begin overnight Sunday, with the potential for heavy snowfall amounts and high winds.

Please be advised that the Winter Activity Centre located at North Bank Lodge in Pippy Park will re-open today (January 29, 2026) at noon. Trails are groomed and safe for use. Please note, operations are dependent on weather and snow conditions. Users can call the Winter Activity Centre Snowline throughout the season at 709-737-3651 for information, updates and hours of operation based on trail conditions.
