Motorists are advised there will be a lane reduction for the west bound curb lane of the Columbus Drive Waterford Bridge Road Overpass. This lane reduction is necessary to facilitate work of the 2025 Bridge Rehabilitation project. Alternate pedestrian routes will be provided. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site. The Aurora with 1950 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 8, and depart at 6 p.m.

Contractors may be working on the following streets from September 8 to 13 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. To facilitate the Uniformed Services Run and the arrival of two cruise ships, the following road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect on Sunday, September 7, 2025, impacting the Downtown Area, Quidi Vidi Lake, and the Waterford Valley.
