Postponed - Waste Collection Dec. 6

Due to forecasted high winds, curbside waste collection will not occur on Friday, December 6. Collection will now take place on Saturday, December 7. Please place bags or bins at the curb between 6 and 8 a.m. Saturday morning.

Motorists are advised that the following road closures will be in effect to facilitate The Goulds Lions Club Christmas Parade.
ROAD CLOSURES
Lakeview Drive
Main Road (Lakeview Drive to Bidgood’s Plaza)
Access from side roads to Main Road will be restricted during the parade.
Pedestrian routes will not be impacted.

Motorists are advised that Waterford Bridge Road (from Cowan Avenue to Bay Bulls Road) will be closed to accommodate the Holiday Lights at Bowring Park Event.

City Hall To Temporarily Close for Training

City Hall, located at 10 New Gower Street, will be closed tomorrow morning from 9-11 a.m., to facilitate a staff training exercise. City Hall will reopen at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, for regular business hours.

Winter Parking Bans Announced

To safely and effectively clear snow from streets, the City of St. John’s prohibits parking on streets by area, time of day, and/or dependent on operational requirements through the following bans.
Any vehicle that violates the winter restrictions regardless of the conditions, or impedes snow clearing/removal operations, may be ticketed and/or towed.
