The City of St. John’s has released What We Heard reports summarizing findings from public engagement which took place in August and September of 2025 on the development of plans for the Rennie’s River, Central and Mundy Pond neighbourhoods.

New accessible washrooms are coming to Kelly’s Brook Park!
To facilitate construction, the Shared-Use Path in Kelly’s Brook Park near Hoyles Avenue (including the trail connection to Hoyles Avenue) will be closed until Friday, November 28.
Periodic lane reductions on Hoyles Road will also be required to allow for the tie-in of services. The City will make every effort to minimize interruptions. The public is asked to follow all posted signage in and near the construction zone.

The City has received an application from NL Department of Transportation and Infrastructure on behalf of Tucker Group Inc. to rezone a portion of land at 746 Blackmarsh Road from the Rural Residential (RR) Zone to the Apartment 1 (A1) Zone for a Cluster Development comprised of three Apartment Buildings with a total of 45 units. A Municipal Plan Amendment is also required to redesignate a portion of the property to the Residential District.
