Visitor Information Centre Updated Hours

The City of St. John’s Visitor Information Centre located at 348 Water Street, will be adjusting their hours of operation.

The Visitor Information Centre will be open:

• Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  
• Closed on weekends and Statutory Holidays, except on days when cruise ships are in port at St. John’s Harbour.

Cruise Ships arrive September 27 and September 28

The Aurora with 1950 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27 and depart at 6 p.m. The Europa with 408 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 28th and depart at 11:59 p.m.

Orange Shirt Day - Rally for Reconciliation

As a proud member of the First Voice Urban Indigenous Coalition, the City of St. John’s is calling on residents to recognize Orange Shirt Day by standing in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples at a planned Rally for Reconciliation. The Jewel of the Seas with 2501 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25 and depart at 4 p.m.

Street Rehab - September 25 to 30

Contractors may be working on the following streets from September 25 to 30 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs.  Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation.  Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:
