Street Rehab - June 12 to 16

Contractors may be working on the following streets from June 12 to 16 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

Barkham Street
Blackwood Place
Doyle's Road Extension
Empire Avenue (Bonaventure Avenue to Graves Street)

The City of St. John’s is seeking public feedback on its engagement platform, EngageStJohns.ca, and on public interest in participating in online public engagement activities.
A survey is now open to the public.
Results of the survey will be shared with the Organizational Performance and Strategy team to help inform decisions moving forward related to the use of EngageStJohns.ca. All responses are anonymous.

Motorists are advised that the following road closures/lane reductions will be in place on Sunday, June 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. to facilitate the Mews Memorial 8k Road Race.

Update - Road Closure - Bay Bulls Road (Old Bay Bulls Road to Walsh's Lane)

Motorists are advised that Bay Bulls Road from Civic 333 Bay Bulls Road to the Old Bay Bulls Road intersection will remain closed until Friday, June 23 at 5 p.m. No vehicular traffic will be permitted to pass through the closed section of Bay Bulls Road.
A detour remains in place on Bay Bulls Road (Old Bay Bulls Road to Walsh's Lane) to direct traffic around the construction zone. Local access for vehicular and pedestrian traffic inside the detoured area is permitted. Signage will be in place...
Planned Power Outage to Effect Some City Services June 9 to 11

Electrical maintenance to the systems located at City Hall will require a power outage from Friday, June 9 at 5 p.m. to Sunday, June 11 at 4:30 p.m. Public impacts are minimal, however please note the following:
- Access to portions of the City’s website at StJohns.ca may be impacted, including the City’s Map Centre, which will be offline.
- We will not be able to issue emails for public notifications on watermain breaks to subscribers.

City Announces Line-up for 2023 Music @ Concert Series
