Due to the Orangemen’s Day holiday on Mon. July 10, most City offices will be closed. The bi-weekly City Council meeting will take place on Tues. July 11 at 3 p.m.

If you have rats around your house, it doesn’t mean your property is dirty but it likely means that you are providing a food source for them and have spaces they can use for shelter.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, not all yard waste was collected on Tuesday, July 4. Any yard waste not collected will be collected on Wednesday, July 5.

The City of St. John’s is hosting the annual Party in the Park on Wednesday, July 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. on the lawn by Bowring Park Bungalow. (Rain date: July 20)
Party in the Park is a free event for seniors which includes local entertainment along with light refreshments, giveaways and more.
This year’s entertainers are Clay Coombs and Harris Porter of I’se Da B’y; youth musician Brett Crane; Elaine Dunphy of Nia on the Rock; and Paddy Burke.

Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be closed from July 4 to 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.
