Road Update - Hebron Way: February 16, 2025

Motorists are advised that Hebron Way, from Major's Path roundabout to Sea Rose Ave roundabout, has reopened as of 7:50 a.m. today, February 16, 2025.

Road Closure - Hebron Way: February 15, 2025

Please be advised that Hebron Way, from Major's Path roundabout to Sea Rose Ave roundabout, is closed due to heavy drifting and poor visibility. This closure will remain in place for 24 hours and until the weather subsides and crews can clear the area. 

The City of St. John’s apologizes for any inconvenience.

Due to the weather forecast, the Learn to Play Disc Golf ChillFest event, scheduled for tomorrow, February 15, has been cancelled.

Swan at Mundy Pond Relocated for Winter

The City of St. John’s wishes to inform visitors to the Mundy Pond area that the resident swan has been temporarily relocated due to winter conditions. As the pond remains frozen, the Swan will be under the care of Humane Services and will return to Mundy Pond when conditions improve.

The 15+ year-old Mute Swan has been a long-time resident of Mundy Pond and is well-cared for by Public Works staff, with the support of Humane Services.

City Seeking Performers for 2025 Special Events

The City of St. John’s is seeking performers for 2025 special events. Our annual Call for Performers helps the City program arts and cultural performances for special events like the Music @ Concert Series, Downtown Pedestrian Mall performances, Dockside Welcomes and other City of St. John’s-hosted events and festivals.

We invite solo and group applications in all the performing arts disciplines. The deadline to apply is the final Friday in March. Please complete the online application form.
