Starting Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the City of St. John’s will implement a minimum 15-minute increment for paid parking when using the PayByPhone app.
Currently, users can purchase or extend parking in one-minute increments. This change is in response to a revised payment structure from PayByPhone, the City's electronic payment vendor. The 15-minute minimum helps reduce transaction fees paid by the City while aligning with the existing minimum time required at pay stations in the same areas.

Due to technical issues with audio equipment in Council Chambers, the Council Meeting taking place on April 9 at 10 a.m. (originally scheduled for April 8 at 3 p.m.) will not be live streamed and video will be unavailable. As always, the meeting is open to the public and members of the media who would like to attend in-person. The meeting will take place on the fourth floor of City Hall, 10 New Gower Street.

Please be advised that the leisure pool and waterslides at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre will be closed for maintenance from Monday, April 14 to Sunday, April 20 and will reopen on Monday, April 21 following its regular schedule. The closure is needed to facilitate minor repairs to the leisure pool, which requires the tank to be emptied.
During this time, the lane pool will remain open and aquatic fitness classes and lane swims will continue as scheduled, unaffected by the closure.
