Bowring Park Pool and Splash Pad will close at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 13.
This closure is for necessary, unscheduled maintenance. The Pool and Splash Pad will reopen tomorrow with regular hours.
The City apologizes for the inconvenience caused.

On Saturday, July 15, 2023 (back up rain date Sunday, July 16) at Bowring Park 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Dollar A Day, St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJFRD) and IAFF Local 1075 are raising the bucket for mental health and addictions care as part of the Fighting Chance program. Phase Five of the Water Street Infrastructure Improvement Project is now complete.
As of 6 p.m., Tuesday July 11, two-way traffic will resume on Prescott Street.

The watermain break that caused an unplanned water outage affecting the west end of the City is being repaired. Crews have rerouted water and all areas should now have water restored.
During this repair some areas of the Petty Harbour Long Pond water supply will be temporarily supplied from the Bay Bulls Big Pond water supply.
Property owners may notice the water is cloudy, milky or have a slight chlorine smell for several hours. These issues are temporary and typically clear within a few hours....

A large portion of the west end is without water this morning. Crews are working quickly to restore water service. Further information will be provided as soon as it is available.
Please note, South Brook Trail and the washrooms, pool and splash pad in Bowring Park are closed until further notice.

Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be closed from July 11 to 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.
