Today (June 3, 2024), the municipalities of Conception Bay South, Paradise, and St. John’s, announced the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the joint Regional Economic Development Agency. Michelle Simms will assume the role effective July 9, 2024.

Emergency Watermain Maintenance in Goulds

Due to emergency watermain maintenance in Goulds on Sunday, June 2 from midnight to 4 a.m., residents may experience loss of water, low pressure or discloured water.
If you experience discoloured water, run the cold water tap in a sink until it clears. If discoloured water persists, contact Access St. John’s by calling 311 or 754-CITY (2489).
The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Public Sharps Disposal Bin at Quidi Vidi Lake Temporarily Out of Service

The public sharps disposal bin located at the gravel parking lot at Quidi Vidi Lake near the bottom of East White Hills Road is temporarily out of service. An update will be provided when a new bin is reinstalled.

Street Rehab - June 3 to 8

Contractors may be working on the following streets from June 3 to 8 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

Lane Reduction - Main Road (vicinity of Viguers Road)

7:00 a.m. Monday, June 3 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 28
Motorists are advised that a portion of Main Road in vicinity of Viguers Road will have a lane reduction. This lane reduction is necessary to facilitate installation of storm sewer infrastructure in the area. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site. Motorists may encounter some delays.
