A Public Meeting will take place regarding a rezoning application for land at 358-376 Portugal Cove Place.
The City has received an application from GLD Homes Ltd. to rezone land at 358-376 Portugal Cove Place from the Residential (1) Zone to the Residential 2 (R2) Zone and Apartment 1 (A1) Zone for a mixed subdivision development. The proposed development is a combination of Townhouses along Portugal Cove Place and a 154-unit Cluster Development at the rear of the properties. A Municipal Plan amendment is not required.
Along with this rezoning, the City is considering reducing the required landscaping percentage in the A1 Zone from 35% to 30% to align with the other Apartment Zones.
You can learn more about this amendment on the Planning St. John’s webpage at engagestjohns.ca/planning. The Planning St. John's webpage allows the public to learn more about planning applications, track progress, give feedback and ask questions all in one place.
