Bridge Rehabilitation on Columbus Drive at Waterford Bridge Road Overpass Resumes April 29

Bridge rehabilitation work on the Columbus Drive overpass near Waterford Bridge Road is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, and is expected to be completed by August 2026.

Work completed in 2025 included improvements to sidewalks, the median, and areas beneath the overpass. The 2026 construction season will focus on asphalt removal, structural repairs, and repaving of the overpass deck.

Motorists can expect lane reductions and delays on Columbus Drive throughout the project. At least one lane in each direction will be maintained at all times.

The City will make every effort to minimize interruptions. Pedestrian access will be maintained during construction, and the public is asked to follow all personnel and posted signage in and near the construction zone.
