Fire Ban Extended To Thursday, June 5

Please be advised that the fire ban effect for the St. John’s Regional Fire Department Region including St. John’s, Mount Pearl, and Paradise has been extended to Thursday, June 5 due to current and anticipated dry weather conditions. The ban will be re-evaluated leading into the weekend.

🚫 Not allowed:
• Outdoor wood-burning appliances
• Charcoal BBQs
• Open fires

✅ Still permitted:
• Propane firepits
• Propane BBQs

The SJRFD reminds you to be fire safe when using propane firepits and barbeques, to keep a hose or fire extinguisher handy and follow manufacturer’s requirements regarding clearances from combustible materials.
