The City of St. John’s will be enhancing Chafe’s Lane Park with the addition of new accessible public washrooms, bringing improved comfort and convenience to this popular community space.
To make this much-anticipated upgrade a reality, construction is scheduled to begin Monday, June 2 at Chafe’s Lane Park.
During this time, residents on Chafe’s Lane, Glenlonan Street and nearby streets can expect increased construction-related noise and traffic in the area. Chafe’s Lane Park is expected to remain open during construction, however, parking will be reduced. Access to the pedestrian trail between Glenlonan Street and Chafe’s Lane Park will be impacted. The public is asked to follow all posted signage in and near the construction zone.
The City of St. John’s will make every effort to minimize interruptions and apologizes for any inconvenience. For more details or to report an issue, contact Access St. John’s by calling 311 or (709) 754-CITY (2489) or by emailing access@stjohns.ca.
