Site preparation is still ongoing for the future roundabout at Portugal Cove Road, Major’s Path, and Airport Heights Drive.
Starting Monday, crews will begin working around the perimeter of the intersection, and heavy equipment will be on site.
Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal, with most lanes remaining open for this phase of the project. However, a short section of Major’s Path will have a lane reduction. The southbound straight-through and left-turn lanes will be combined into a single lane before separating again near the intersection.
This work and related traffic disruptions will take approximately two weeks. The City of St. John’s will provide updates on traffic interruptions and progress throughout the duration of the project.
