Today, the City of St. John’s released the details of Budget 2019, the first year in a three-year budget plan for 2019-2021. Revenues and expenditures are balanced at $304,677,022.

Due to the volume of snow occurring early this year, the City is implementing the on-street parking ban outside downtown, and the early morning parking ban in the downtown.
As part of the 2019 operating budget for the City of St. John’s, City Council will vote on the operating grant provided to the St. John’s Transportation Commission.

Timed free parking zone 2 hour sign
Today, the City will begin installation of Timed Free Parking Zones. The time limit in each zone will be either two hours or four hours. All new signage will be posted during the coming weeks.
Beginning November 26, 2018, owners of both residential and commercial properties can access their 2019 assessed values online. Assessments are also being mailed to property owners.
