The City offers aquatics and swimming opportunities for all ages and abilities. 

Recreational Swim Schedules

Recreational Swim Descriptions

The following descriptions may be used to describe scheduled recreational swim activities at our pools:  

Lane Swim

Choose the appropriate lane - slow, medium or fast - based on ability. Suitable for swimmers ages 13 and over. 

Leisure Swim 

Leisure space is available for families. Children 10 and under must always be accompanied in the water by a 16+ year-old who must remain in the water at arms-length. Maximum three children to one supervisor. 

Everyone Welcome Swim

A public swim open to all ages, with leisure space available for families. Children 10 and under must be accompanied in the water by a 16+ year-old supervisor who must remain within arm’s length; a maximum of three children is permitted per supervisor. Facility features include diving boards, waterslides (Paul Reynolds & Bowring) and a rock-climbing wall (Mews). 

Pop-in Tot

This is a fun drop-in swim and play program for parents/caregivers accompanying young children ages 3 months to 3 years. The session takes place in the leisure pool and an instructor is available to provide water safety tips, techniques and assist with new skills. Come enjoy the water in our safe and friendly environment!

Therapeutic Adult Swim 

A reduced capacity swim for adults age 18+ with physical and/or developmental disabilities, caregivers, support workers and family. Facilities are equipped with gender neutral accessible change rooms, an adult size change table, pool access chairs and pool entry by gradual slope or lift.

Lifeguards will be onsite to supervise but are not able to transfer, lift or reposition individuals. Individuals who need this level of support must bring a caregiver/support person who may attend free of charge with an attendant pass. Standard swim admissions apply.

Sensory Swim

A sensory-friendly swimming experience for people of all ages who enjoy a quieter, less busy environment. All standard swim admission and age restriction policies apply. 

What to expect: Lower noise levels and no background music, fewer swimmers and more space to swim, water features turned off, whistles only used for an emergency.
