Trails

Both City staff and the Grand Concourse Authority maintain trails in St. John's. Trails that are not on City property, such as those in Pippy Park, are not serviced by the City.

The Grand Concourse Authority and the City of St. John's provide dog waste bag dispensers, garbage bags, history boards, storyboards and walkway markers on trails.

Winter Activity Centre

During the winter season, the Winter Activity Centre is located in the Pippy Park campground. The campground loops are transformed into groomed trails suitable for both classic cross-country and skate skiing, as well as snowshoeing. Trails are lit for evening use. We offer classic cross-country skis and snowshoe equipment rentals at North Bank Lodge.

Shared-Use Paths

The City has a number of shared-use paths that can be used by people walking, cycling and wheeling. Paved shared-use paths are designed to be accessible for people of all ages and abilities. They are wheelchair-friendly, stroller-friendly, and provide a safer and smoother surface for all users, regardless of their mobility or physical limitations.
