Elections
Municipal elections take place every four years on a date set by the provincial government for all municipalities in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Municipal Election determines your municipal governance for the next four years. Casting your ballot allows you to elect officials who will make decisions on your behalf.
The current St. John's City Council was elected on October 8, 2025. The next Municipal General Election will take place in 2029.
