Environment and Sustainability Experts Panel
The Environment and Sustainability Experts Panel provides independent advice on environmental and sustainability issues in the City of St. John’s, including energy use, greenhouse gas emissions and climate resilience. The Panel:
- Advises Council, through the Committee of the Whole, on advancing a sustainable city
- Reviews environmental considerations for new and redevelopment projects when referred by Council or through the development review process
- Supports the development and implementation of the City’s Sustainability Plan
- Recommends best practices to support evidence-based decision-making to support the environmental and sustainability goals and objectives of the City of St. John's
