Audit Standing Committee

The Audit Standing Committee is a Council-appointed body that reports directly to Council on:

  • Financial reporting
  • Internal control systems
  • Risk management
  • Legal and regulatory compliance
  • External audit processes
  • Internal audit functions

Membership

The Audit Standing Committee is chaired by a member of the public and consists of a minimum of five individuals representing the following groups:

  • Two residents serving as public members (one of whom acts as Chair)
  • At least three members of Council
