We need recreation program staff, lifeguards and tourism staff for our summer programs. Staff are employed at the following locations:
- Kilbride Community Centre
- Kenmount Terrace Community Centre
- Shea Heights Community Centre
- Southlands Community Centre
- Paul Reynolds Community Centre
- Bowring Park
- Bannerman Park
- Rotary Sunshine Park

Important things to remember

- A current RNC Criminal Record Screening Certificate and Vulnerable Sector Check (or equivalent) – dated not more than six months prior to the position start date, are required for all positions. Apply for documents well in advance as they may take up to three weeks to secure. Apply here.

- Check the individual job description for the mandatory training dates and period of employment.
Preparing your application
Be sure to upload the following documents to your candidate profile and include them in your application:
- Resumé which includes education, past work experience/volunteer details.
- A minimum of two references from people who can comment on your leadership and work or volunteer experience in the last one to two years.
- Copy of any certifications that may be relevant to the individual job posting (i.e. Standard First Aid, CPR, High Five, Lifeguard Certifications, etc.)
Selected for an interview?
Interviews begin mid-April and will be ongoing until all positions are filled. This process may take several months, depending on the number of applicants and the complexity of the position.
Most interviews are question and answer format with some situational-type questions. They range from 15-30 minutes.
Interviews for outdoor pool positions include a 30-minute group interview followed by a 30-minute (in pool) swimming and water safety assessment.
