Accessibility and Inclusion
The City of St. John's believes in an accessible, inclusive, healthy and safe community for everyone. As we work towards this goal, we will continue to identify, remove and prevent barriers to accessing programs and services.
The Inclusion Advisory Committee provides Council with information and advice on inclusion and accessibility for City programs, policies and services.
Accessibility Plan
The City is working to improve access to programs, services and spaces by identifying, preventing and removing barriers. This work is guided by our Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, developed based on recommendations from the Inclusion Advisory Committee, public engagement and requirements of the Provincial Accessibility Act.
The plan creates awareness about current measures and future actions to improve accessibility. The City reports on progress for the plan annually.
